The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict:

Originating in the late nineteenth century, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict gained international attention.

In 1947, the United Nations introduced Resolution 181, dividing the British Mandate of Palestine into Arab and Jewish states.

The State of Israel was established on May 14, 1948, triggering the first Arab-Israeli War.

Israel emerged victorious in the war but led to the displacement of 750,000 Palestinians.
